How To Be More Grateful
Being grateful is not just about waking each day with both your sight and your hearing in good condition. It’s not just about arriving to work with every body part of yours still intact. It’s not even about sleeping each night with both your mind and your heart in sync together.
You see, being grateful is about appreciating everything in life – no matter how simple it may seem. You also see, being grateful is about supporting everything in life – no matter how tiring it may seem. You even see, being grateful is about feeling everything in life – no matter how piercing it may seem.
That being said, here are some ways to be more grateful:
Establish good habits.
Be it establishing good habits for your health or establishing good habits for your environment, just the act of establishing something alone is one great way to show that you are being more grateful. And with this, comes a bigger responsibility that will not only test how determined you really are and how patient you really are. Write it down.
From the moment you wake up each morning to the moment you sleep down each night, you should write it all down – what you feel upon waking up, what you think will happen during the day, what you feel upon sleeping down, and more. This will not only help you figure out what needs to be changed within yourself in small ways, but also help you figure out what needs to be done right away in small ways.
Being more grateful, after all, is just like the art of appreciation – no matter what you’re doing, no matter where you’re going, and no matter what you’re going through right now…you will always have something to be thankful for every day.
